Yes. A 20% deposit is required to reserve your Sarasota fishing charter and secure your preferred date. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive all the details you’ll need before your trip. The remaining balance is due before or at the start of your charter.

If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations made within 72 hours may be rescheduled or refunded. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in the loss of your deposit. If unsafe weather prevents your trip from taking place, we’ll work with you to reschedule or provide a refund when appropriate.

Absolutely. We understand that plans can change. If you need to move your trip, contact us as early as possible and we’ll do our best to find another available date. If weather or unsafe conditions prevent your charter from departing, your captain will help you reschedule at no additional charge.

No. Gratuity is not included in the charter price. While never required, tips are always appreciated for exceptional service. If your captain provides a memorable day on the water, the customary gratuity is 15–20% of the charter price.

We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure online booking system, powered by Stripe. You’ll be able to review your trip details, pay your 20% deposit to reserve your charter, and receive an instant booking confirmation. Depending on your device, Google Pay and other supported digital wallets may also be available during checkout.

Yes. Every Charter Sauce trip is a private charter. Your boat is reserved exclusively for your group, so you’ll never be paired with other guests. Whether you’re fishing with family, friends, or celebrating a special occasion, your captain’s attention is focused entirely on making your trip memorable.

We provide the boat, fishing gear, bait, tackle, ice, and fishing licenses—so all you need to bring is yourself and a few essentials. We recommend sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat, comfortable clothing, non-marking shoes, and any snacks or drinks you’d like for the trip. Don’t forget your camera—you’ll want plenty of photos of your day on the water.

Your safety is always our top priority. Light rain doesn’t necessarily cancel a trip, but dangerous conditions such as lightning, high winds, or rough seas may require rescheduling. If the captain determines the weather is unsafe, we’ll work with you to reschedule your charter or discuss the available options.

Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring your favorite snacks, lunch, and beverages. We provide a cooler with ice to help keep everything cold throughout your trip. We simply ask that you avoid bringing glass containers for everyone’s safety on board.

If you’re prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking an over-the-counter motion sickness medication the evening before or at least one hour before your trip, following the product directions. Staying hydrated, eating a light meal beforehand, and keeping your eyes on the horizon can also help. If you have concerns, let us know before departure and we’ll do everything we can to make your day on the water as comfortable as possible.

We meet at 946 Siesta Drive, Sarasota, FL 34242, inside Nora Patterson Bay Island Park. The park offers free parking and public restrooms, making it easy to get ready before your trip. Our boat is just a short walk from the parking area, and you’ll receive detailed arrival instructions with your booking confirmation so finding us is simple and stress-free.

Legal fish may be kept when current seasons, size limits, and regulations allow. Some species, including tarpon and protected fish, are handled carefully and released.

Yes. When legal keeper fish are brought back, the captain can clean and prepare the catch for you after the trip. Availability may depend on the species, regulations, and meeting location.

Yes. Rods, reels, tackle, and bait when needed are included with fishing charters. Guests are welcome to bring personal equipment, but it is not required.
